Abstract


Transmission is an important part of the vehicle, the reliability of the transmission has a great influence on ride comfort of the vehicle. At the same time, it has a link between the vibration characteristics and the comfort of the vehicle.Gearbox is an important basis of transmission, and it works in bad environment. The gearbox housing is under large load for reciprocating of the transmission internal mechanism, so that the box body may lead to local stress concentration and large deformation phenomenon, this will cause the installation error of gear and shaft, and cause the vibration of transmission system and the premature fatigue failure of gear. This will lead to the decline of the performance of the whole transmission. So it is necessary to guarantee that the body has a certain strength and stiffness, in this way, it is able to bear external excitation produced by a certain. Therefore, in the design stage, relative strength, stiffness and vibration analysis of box is very necessary.This paper takes a car clutch housing and one part of the gearbox housing as the research object. First of all, the three-dimensional model is built in UG, and then imported it into the HyperMesh.Then the finite element analysis model is established.In the paper made the approximate simulation analysis to the housing in the bending and torsion conditions, and also made the modal analysis of the gearbox housing. The results show that the housing is safe and reliable. And the box will not resonate.
