Abstract

In recent years, high efficiency, excellent quality, lightweight and integrationhave attracted the attention of both consumers and Manufacturers. As an importantpart of automobile, the structure, cost and quality of covering panels have an largeeffect on safety, cozy and market influence of the car. In order to satisfy therequirement of the market, the quality of panels should be guaranteed. Blank usedshould meet the security of structure, and distribution of wall thickness should bereasonable so that unweight can be realized. In view of that, forming of panels isaffected by many factors, such as blank property, physical dimension, formingquality and so on. Besides that, as the development of marketization, short-petiodproduction of panels is more and more concerned. However the develop of armorplate with certain property need some time. If the relationship between sheet anddifferent kinds of panels can be predicted, the goal that design of panels and supplyof sheet are integrated can be reached. And it provides foundation for iron enterprise. The work that reseached in this paper as follows. In this paper, according to the deformation characteristics, the panels aredivided into5types, which are deep drawing, bulging-deep drawing, shadowdrawing, bending and flanging. The sheet properties which affect the forming ofdifferent kinds of covering panels are firstly analyzed. The forming processes oftypical parts that chosen from the5categories are simulated by Dynaform5.6. Byreplacing different materials parameters, distribution law of stress, strain andthickness are attained through simulation. And the forming safety margin can beobtained with the strain distribution and FLC combined. With the fitting of safetymargin under different parameters by MATLAB, the quantitative relationshipbetween safety margin and sheet properties is established. In terms of thisrelationship, the material selection model is obtained.Base on the material selection model of5kinds of forming types, representative parts that contain varies forming types are chosen and the formingtypes of their rupture zone are determined by finite element analysis. According tothe material selection model established above, the material properties that influencethe forming of rupture zone are researched and the corresponding material selectionmodel is built with the same method. After that, in order to evaluate the effect ofsheet properties on forming of parts, distribution law of stress, strain and thicknessare discussed. The sheet that used by complex panels selected here inclunde08Al,TRIP600and TRIP800.Finally, bulging-deep drawing, shadow drawing and bending are selected to conduct the experiment with different kinds and thicknesses of sheets. After formingtests finished, the strain distribution of specimens is measured by ASAME andcompared with the simulation. Through the comparison, the accuracy of the modelsis confirmed.
