With the development of science technology and the improvement of economic level, urban construction has developed rapidly these years. Confronted with such problems as the increase of waste, the improper disposal of refuse and the frequent emergence of environmental disaster, this dissertation, taking Humanistic care of Public Art Design as its topic, expects art to be better-involved in our society, to concern the social reformation, to question and to arouse the public’s awareness of environmental protection, and to fight against the waste of resources and the damage to environment. It aims to guide the public to attach more importance to environmental protection while acquiring living resources, to make the humanistic care reflected in the public art design promote the harmonious coexistence as well as the collaborative development of human society and the environment.This paper consists of four chapters. Chapter one illustrates the purpose, scope and the method of the public art research. Chapter two mainly discusses the public art’s concept and origin, its form of existence with space, and the characteristics of public art and humane care. And chapter three, based on the case of SHENZHEN YUNAN Garden, analyzes how to realize the purpose of humane care through combining public art design with space and environment. Chapter four introduces my own practice that is endowing the inanimate objects with life by using daily garbage. Besides, it also advocates the public to get involved in this kind of activity.
