The operating characteristic of steam turbine and its governing system are relateddirectly to the security and stability of thermal power unit, the response capability ofthe unit to the instruction of the grid and in situation of the fluctuation of the gridfrequency, and further affect the security and stability of the grid. It has extremelyvital significance to stabilize the frequency of the grid, and improve the stabilities ofthe grid and power unit which carries out the researches on the parameteridentification and verification technology of steam turbine and its governing system.The thorough analysis and research were carried on in this dissertation whichfocus on the parameter identification and the simulation verification of steam turbineand its governing system, the calculation method and test method related to parameteridentification, the complexity of the original data in test, and the automaticcalculation methods for the index of simulation verification. The automaticpretreatment method for the original data, the automatic parameters identificationmethod, and the simulation verification method of models were proposed, and the keyfactors which are influence on the accuracy of the parameter identification were alsopointed out in this dissertation.Based on the above analysis and research, a set of software of "intelligentparameter identification and checking of steam turbine and its governing system" wasdeveloped with Matlab/Simulink as a platform. These were realized that the automaticprocess for the original test data, the automatic identification of parameter and theautomatic simulation verification for the steam turbine and its governing system. Thissoftware was used to automatic identifying simulation verifying for the measuredoriginal data of parameters for all sorts of typical unit of the steam turbine and itsgoverning system. The results have shown that the model’s parameters by automaticidentifying are more accuracy than artificial recognition, and all the deviation ofsimulation verification can satisfy the requirements of the latest assessment index.Using the software of "intelligent parameter identification and checking of steamturbine and its governing system", the whole process of the parameter measurement,identification, simulation verification can be made easily by a common technicalpersonnel who doesn’t need related professional knowledge of identification,modeling, simulation,electrical or the calculation of the stability of power system. It was realized that the seamless connection of the whole process of the parameter’smeasurement and its modeling of the steam turbine and its governing system, andthese were reduced that the requirements of the personnel’s professional technical andthe parameter measurement and identification. At the same time, the work efficiencyand the accuracy of parameter identification were improved, which are benefit to thesecurity of the grid, and can bring good economic and social benefits.
