Abstract


The check valve installed in the reactor coolant pump outlet is one of the significantequipment in the reactor coolant system of nuclear power device, which is the component ofreactor coolant pressure boundary. Its main function is to prevent the backflow throughcoolant pump while the check valve can be open freely and acted smoothly. It shall be actedsuccessfully even under small flow, for example under initial flow in natural cycle, and it cannot be impacted greatly on loop piping during open and close. The application environmentfor check valve is very complicated, therefore, the research on the check valve body structureand its strength analysis is significant. In my study, I built the body model by Solidworks, andthen analyzed and calculated the stress and strain distribution of the body under somedesignated pressure in Ansys. According to comparing with the design requirements, the valveis accepted. The results show that the body in this graduation thesis is met the designrequirements.
