Abstract


On many occasions, the application of traditional electromagnetic motor islargly restricted because of its complex structure, and defects such as magneticdisturbance. As a new type of linear motor, ultrasonic linear motor overcomesthese shortcomings of the electromagnetic motor, to have broad applicationprospects. This paper aims to design a high-speed and large-thrust ultrasoniclinear motor, including the holding mechanism, the vibrator and the voltage-incentive method. Then analyze the performance of the motor from theperspective of the Kinematics and conduct a preliminary test on the motor. Thedetails are as follows.The structural parameters of the v-shaped vibrator with double ultrasonichorns is given. By the simulation analysis of the vibrator using finite elementsoftware and several adjustments of relevant sizes, the frequencies of thesymmetric and antisymmetric two modals are approximately equal to each other,and the actual nodal plane locates approximately at the design position. In orderto increase the load capacity of the motor and eliminate the friction resistance, adouble-vibrators structure is proposed. A holding mechanism is designedespecially for the double-vibrators structure with basic function of holding,loading and orientation. The holding mechanism can make the preload imposedon the two vibrators always the same, and ensure that the motor can be self-locked reliably under non-working conditions. And to make sure that thevibrators does not inspire the resonance of the holding mechanism in workingcondition through simulation. The difficult problem of the holding of thevibrators is solved. The mechanical output characteristics of the prototype isanalyzed from the perspective of the Kinematics. Describes the reason for thechange of the speed with changing preload and the reason of the severe wearbetween the drive end of the vibrators and the linear guide. The theoreticalmaximum speed of the linear guide is given. Explains the reasons for the loadcapacity being always lower than the driving force that the friction can provide,as well as the reason for the first increase and then decrease of the load capacity.The experiments on the prototype designed has been conducted to obtain someof the basic data of the prototype, including the actual working frequency of themotor and the frequency that can inspire the resonance of the holdingmechanism. The mechanical output characteristics of the prototype is tested,including the variation of the output performance of the prototype under different experimental conditions.In this paper, a piezoelectric linear motor with double V-shaped vibrators isdesigned, the performance of the motor is analyzed from the perspective of theKinematics. The basic data of the motor shows that the motor has a high speedand large thrust under working conditions.
