Ironless permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (ILPMLSM), which iswidely used in the fields like precision machine tool, has advantages of low thrustfluctuation, high positioning precise, high dynamic performance, etc. In this thesis,an ILPMLSM with two-layer Halbach secondary structure is proposed and thefollowing aspects are mainly studied:First, the model of two-layer Halbach secondary ILPMLSM is established andanalyzed by analytical method. According to the equivalent magnetization intensitymethod, air-gap magnetic flux density expression is derived. The impact of changingmotor parameters on air-gap flux density of is analyzed. The expressions of no-loadback-EMF and electromagnetic thrust are derived, which provide the theoreticalbasis for the following motor’s design and optimization.Secondly, the size parameters of the two-layer Halbach magnet arrays areoptimized by means of finite element simulation software Ansoft Maxwell2D andthe two-layer Halbach magnet arrays are improved and further optimized from thepoint of view of easy processing and installation of the permanent magnets. Themethod of design the Halbach secondary ILPMLSM is studied. Its main designprocess is given, and the method of determining main size of ILPMLSM is derived.The structure parameters of primary windings, secondary magnet arrays and otherparts are determined at last.Finally, according to the final structure parameters, the basic characteristics ofHalbach secondary ILPMLSM are analyzed, and based on that an experimentalprototype is made and tested. The test results verify the rationality of the design ofmotor.
