Abstract


In the last few years, the harmonic pollution is becoming more and moreserious and the demand of reactive power is increasing in the power networkday and day as the non-linear power electronic installations used popularly inour daily life. It will become a big challenge to ensure power supply qualityand movement security. Active Power Filter (APF) which not only can realizereactive compensation but also can realize dynamically in suppressionharmonic. So the research for APF has become a hot topic. The paperintroduces the concepts of harmonic and the principle of harmonic at the first.Then the paper introduces the means to solve the harmonic and its researchsituation. And the topological structures about Active Power Filter areintroduced minutely. So we can know the advantages and disadvantages aboutall kinds of filter’s performance. Also the paper states the influence aboutcontrol method to filtering effect. Besides the paper emphasizes the harmonicdetection method based on instantaneous reactive power theory. Then thepaper base on a new hybrid parallel active filter, the parameters of passive partand active part is designed with economy and filtering performance. And wecan get the suitable parameters about single tuned filter and high passharmonic filter and Active Power Filter (APF). At last, based onMATLAB/SIMULINK.7.1, a simulation model and of hybrid filter system isestablished and simulated, the result shows that the harmonic content declineto0.04%in the system. It is a perfect filter effect. And it gives the theorybasis to us that this HAPF is worth using in our daily life.
