Abstract


Soil erosion in China has wide distribution, many types and great differences in intensity of erosion and the degree of harm. Differen targeted measures for prevention and control of soil erosion should be taken.The purpose of Regionalization of Soil erosion is to implement partition control, guidance, effective implementation of prevention and control of soil erosion. Regionalization of Soil erosion is the foundation of soil and water conservation. Water and soil conservation law of the people’s Republic of China (2011) stipulates that people’s governments at or above the county level should determine and announce the key prevention area and the key controlled area of soil erosion. In order to implement the new water law, Jiangsu province launched a new round of work on regionalization of soil erosion.This comprehensive survey of soil erosion in Jiangsu Province based on Jiangsu Province natural, social, economic, land use and soil erosion comprehensive analysis of the current situation, through literature review and expert consultation method, both from a qualitative and quantitative indicators selected partition, the use of combination weighting method to determine the weights of quantitative indicators, with the weighted sum method to build quantitative factors into the model, and finally the use of ArcGIS spatial overlay analysis, qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis will be combined to obtain the final results of divisions. This paper studies the results are as follows.(1)The index system of regionalization of Soil erosion in Jiangsu province. For Key Prevention Area, qualitative index includes key water resource conservation zone, water channels sustaining zone and key ecology sustaining zone; quantitative index includes forest and grass coverage, potential danger of Soil Erosion, the percentage of Sandy Plain Area, density of population, and the percentage of Construction, their weights respective are0.3359,0.1410,0.2100,0.1771and0.1360. For Key Controlled Area, qualitative index includes Sandy Plain Area and Hilly Area that have serious Soil Erosin; quantitative index includes the percentage of area where above the level of the mild in Soil Erosin, the percentage of Hilly Area, forest and grass coverage, density of population, and the percentage of Construction Land,their weights respective are0.2071,0.1763,0.3198,0.1692and0.1275. (2) The quantitative analysis model of regionalization of Soil erosion.The calculation formula for Key Prevention Area is as follows:Eli=0.3359×[score of forest and grass coverage]+0.2100×[score of the percentage of Sandy Plain Area]+0.1410x[score of potential danger of Soil Erosion]+0.1771×[score of density of population]+0.1360×[score of the percentage of Construction]Eli is the composite index for Key Prevention Area of the basic division unit of thei.The calculation formula for Key Controlled Area is as follows:E2j=0.1763×[score of forest and grass coverage]+0.2071×[score of the percentage of Hilly Area]+0.3198x[score of the percentage of area where above the level of the mild in Soil Erosin]+0.1692x [score of density of population]+0.1275x [core of the percentage of Construction]E2i is the composite index for Key Controlled Area of the basic division unit of thei.(3)Regionalization of Soil erosion in Jiangsu. Achieve final results by the using of ArcGIS. The total area of Regionalization of Soil Erosion in Jiangsu is35929km2includes Key Prevention Area and Key Controlled Area, Their areas respective are21934km2and13995km2,The percentage of them respective are21.32%and13.64%.
