Visual system is a kind of information system engineering. It makes people get the required information efficiently and clearly in the shortest time in the space, or guide them to the destination. Because of the data(the kind of irrigation, belong to which irrigation area, etc) of the irrigated areas can’t be known in the first time,,the vast space environment and the complex planting structure in farmland can bring a lot of unnecessary trouble of the work for the experts and the staffs working there.On this issue, this paper presents an example of Shijin irrigation area in Hebei province, in order to help the relevant experts enhance the working efficiency in irrigation area. This paper is statistics and integrated the relevant data of the irrigated areas, and designed a set of visual system in irrigated areas. The purpose of this article is leading people to get the required information high efficiently, at the same time, beautify the space of farmland, improve artistic appeal and aesthetic significance of farmland irrigation.This article is the formal visual system design process after studying basic aspects of irrigation districts. Including visual planning design, creative design, process design and detailed design for the irrigation area.(1) The author understand the basic situation in detail of Shijin irrigation areas in Hebei province from IWHR and Shijin irrigation areas administration, including planting area, type of planting, the kind of irrigation, farmland management mechanism, and so on. Based on the sorting of data, to get to know a general data of the irrigation area, and to determine the information of people who use this visual system.(2) The article uses ArcGIS to plan Shijin irrigation areas. Via separating and collecting the multiple indicators to produce the final unit partition drawings and export unit database, for finishing the design work of this visual system.(3) Via Integrating unit data resources, using Corel draw for making creative design for a certain unit, using market orientation by surveying relevant people preferences and other demand for creative solutions, to determine the final design scheme.(4) Using Corel draw complete detailed design of this visual system for the irrigation area, by combining with the design scheme and unit database of Shijin irrigation areas in Hebei province.Through several aspects of research and design work in the article, we get a set of integrated plan and design of Visual System for Shijin irrigation areas in Hebei province. The actual situation shows that the design really can effectively solve the problem of the efficiency of the staff, and also can provides more required information for management of the irrigation areas in the future.
