Abstract


The financial industry is one of core industries of modern economic growth, and the financial industry as a part of the service industry has a very important role in economic development. China has opened its financial market to the international financial market in succession since it joined the WTO; meanwhile, China’s financial market has obtained certain development and progress in such an open world environment. However, compared with foreign financial institutions of the developed capitalist countries, our financial institutions have still very weak international competitiveness in the international market. In view of the background of financial crisis and the fact of weak international competitiveness of Chinese financial institutions, it is particularly important to promote China’s international competitiveness in financial service trade. Therefore, it is imperative to seize the good opportunity of the financial crisis and make great efforts to enhance the international competitiveness of China’s financial institutions.On the basis of further study in related concept and theory about the financial service trade, adopting the method of the qualitative analysis combined with quantitative analysis, combining theoretical analysis with empirical analysis, this paper analyzes international competitiveness of financial service trade in recent years in China. Through the calculation and analysis of the competitiveness index, it reaches a conclusion that international competitiveness of Chinese current financial service trade is at a fairly low level. In view of such a result, this paper, based on five elements in the Porter’s Competitive Advantage Theory, focuses on the influence facto on our country’s international competitiveness in financial service trade. Finally, according to the causes of influence on international competitiveness of financial service trade , it puts forward corresponding solution countermeasures one by one.In the course of considering how to promote international competitiveness of national financial service trade, for the first time, issues about Hebei province’s international competitiveness of financial trade are included in the research category. Moreover, this paper analyzes these issues in the process of research, and presents relevant countermeasures. Such a research achieves the purpose of service for the local economy.
