Abstract

Objective:In order to analyze and explain the changed reason of the indexes of fermentation and blood in lactation dairy cows after using different TMR with concentrate-roughage ratio and the real reason that TMR can totally meet a variety of physiological needs and effectively reduce the incidence of LDA during lactation. Rumen and abomasum pH value, VFA、NH3-N、LA and plasma electrolyte concentrations of experimental animals were examined through multi-point-in-time sampling in fistulas and lacteal vein within72hours.Method:10healthy multiparous(given birth ones) Holsteins with good body conditions whose weights are463±21kg and7-28days after calving equipped with permanent rumen fistulas and temporary abomasum self-restraint-fistulas were selected in this study. Animal tests were divided into2periods with each last for4days using parallel test. All the experimental daily rations were taken as TMR and feeding it to the dairy cows in lactation period. The TMR of experimental groups were raised20%of concentrated feeds compare with the controls. The pre-feeding period of control group was21days. But the experimental groups were no pre-feeding period and feeding high concentrated diets directly from the beginning.Result:(1)Rumen fermentation indexes:Rumen producing large amounts of organic acid in accordance with the increasement of concentrated feed ratio and would lead to reducement of rumen fluid pH when it exceeds the creating amount of saliva; rumen is a location that could mainly produce and absorb VFA. Most of the indexes of VFA concentration in our experimental groups were lower than experimental group’s and their changing trends were fundamentally identical. Long term feeding of nutritional or structural unbalanced feeds could lead to abnormity of rumen fermentation and easy to produce rumen acidosis; the changing trends of NH3-N concentration in experimental groups and control groups have their regulation respectively though their changing trends were quite opposite, which meaning that the NH3-N concentrations were tightly related with increasing concentrated feed and inversely proportional to the pH value; the changing trends of LA concentration between experimental group and control group were identical, which meaning that feeding high concentrated feed TMR could not cause rumen acidosis. The real reason that could cause rumen acidosis was the fact that long term feeding of low quality, nutritional unbalanced feeds.(2)Abomasum fermentation indexes:pH values in abomasum were significantly lower than the rumen pH values and the pH values in experimental groups were lower than control group’s, which meaning that the pH values in abomasum were too lower to regulate itself positively; the concentration t of variety VFA indexes in abomasum within different time points in experimental groups were lower than control group’s and it was obviously lower than rumen’s. Those evidence suggested that abomasum was not only accept VFA passively, but also extremely sensitive to VFA concentration changes. The changing trends of abomasum NH3-N concentration in experimental groups and control groups have their regulation respectively though their changing trends were quite opposite, which means abomasum could only accept surplus NH3-N after digestive absorption of forestomach passitively. The NH3-N concentration could be neutralized through hydrochloric acid secreted by itself. The changing trends of LA concentration between experimental group and control group were identical. The abomasum of Lactation cows has certain tolerance to LA.(3)Plasma electrolyte: the indexes plasma electrolyte in both experimental group and control group basically have identical trends within24hours after feeding. Two groups all showed cyclical fluctuation and went to situation of dynamic balance within24-72hours. There is a certain amount of compensatory and tolerability for lactating dairy cows with Na+.
