Objective：1.Observe the character of patients with depression.2.Observe the effectiveness of the clip ridge acupuncture point treatment ofdepression,and try to further explore the feasibility of clip ridge acupuncture pointtreatment of depression.Method:1.We have chosen60Patients met the criteria of major depression,and scored inEysenck,s Personality Question Naire (EPQ),Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD),the Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS),Life Satisfaction Rating Soale(LSR)and theProposed Chinese medicine symptom scale,and analyzed statistically2.The Patients were randomly divided into a experimental group of30cases and acontrol group of30cases. The experimental group was given clip ridge acupuncture pointtreatment and fluoxetine hydrochloride and the control group was given fluoxetinehydrochloride. We have observed Patients for eight weeks,observed the Patient,s HAMD,SDS and the proposed Chinese medicine symptom scale score change in1th W,2th W,4thW,8th W,and analyzed statistically;Scored in LSR test at the end of8th weeks, comparedwith those before treatment,and statistically analyzed.Result:1. Patients with depression are more introverted,and neurotic and spiritual quality arehigher than the general population. Male patients are more introverted than femalepatients;female patients have higher neuroticism than male patients 2. The diversity of gender distribution,age distribution,the length of the coursebetween the treatment group and control group is no statistical significance.3. Patients in the two groups had a poor life satisfaction which was significantlyimproved after treatment,and the experimental group improved more than the controlgroup significantly (P <0.05).4. According to Hamilton Depression Rating Scale, the experimental group efficiencywas96.55%and the control group efficiency was78.57%.(P<0.05) statistics show therewas significant difference, suggesting that the experimental group has better effect than thecontrol group.;the experimental group was better than the control group in SDS(P<0.05)and the proposed Chinese medicine symptom scale;compared with the control group,theexperimental group improved more significantly in the psychiatric symptoms score.5. After treatment,60patients were normal in the blood, urine,feces,liver and kidneyfunctionConclusion:1.Depression in patients with partial introverted personality, high neuroticism,psychopathic characteristics of male patients more batter than female patients, patientswith neurotic women than men are patients is high;2. The combination of acupuncture with medicine is relatively pure western medicinethe effect is much better, and has a quick effect, change the somatic symptoms in patientswith better characteristics; From the clip ridge hole is feasible for treatment of depression.
