As one of the Japanese style aesthetic concepts,"Yuugen" is concept or category based on Japanese aesthetic consciousness and constructed with one Chinese phrase. In Japenese history,specially in medieval Japan,"Yuugen" was not only a literary core concept but also the day-to-daylife of ordinary vocabulary. This thesis discusses different meanings of "Yuugen" asthetic thought in differrent periods by combing the development of "Yuugen". Then this thesis chooses Turedurekusa,one master piece of escapist literature in Japanese literature at Fuedal-Kamakura period, to discuss the relation between the aesthetic thought of "Yuugen" and the view of "Mujou". At last,this paper through analyzing the influences of the aesthetic thought of " Yuugen " on the view of "Mononoaware" and the view of "Sabi" to draw a conclusion that the aesthetic thought of "Yuugen" has a great impact on Japanese literature and culture.
