Abstract


The Yellow Crane Tower is known as "three Chu resort" and "the first floor of world ", it is the landmark of Wuhan, at the same time, it is also the carrier of Yellow Crane Tower culture. The Yellow Crane Tower is well-known by its forceful simplicity and exotic grand architectural style. As the Yellow Crane Tower’s soul, the Yellow Crane Tower Legends are cataloged in the third set of the national non-substance cultural heritage. They have long history and become wonderful flower which are full of Chinese culture connotation. Because its miraculous changes, ethereal profound unique style, The Yellow Crane Tower Legends attract generations of people. It gives the Yellow Crane Tower dexterous and fresh beauty. In this paper, the Yellow Crane Tower Legend is the research object, combing its development and rheology track. Using the analytical method of folk tales kinds to discuss the Yellow Crane Tower Legend, analysis its artistic characteristics and cultural connotation.The first part explains the significance of this topic, sums up its research status, combings the Yellow Crane Tower’s developments in all ages. Proving the Yellow Crane Tower’s origin of time and place. It probes where the Yellow Crane Tower came from, contrasts and analysis "named by the mountains" and "named by the god", which are considered the main statements of the Yellow Crane Tower’s name. According a comparative analysis,"named by the god" has the biggest impact on the Yellow Crane Tower and people, it meets the psychological needs of people, so it is more convincing.The second part divides the Yellow Crane Tower Legend into the origin of tower name legend, the construction of tower legend, the celebrity legend, the sight spot legend and the anecdotes. Analysis the vertical development venation of the Yellow Crane Tower legend, contrast the difference of three generation versions. It deeply discusses the construction of tower legend, the celebrity legend and the sight spot legend. The celebrity legend reflect people’s cultural and psychological tendencies. This part analysis the target characters and directs towards the relationship of the sight spot legend and the landscape in the Yellow Crane Tower.The third part focused on the folk tale evolution of the Yellow Crane Tower Legend. Uses the types and motif research methods to analyze the reciprocal transformation between legend and folk tale. Collect the folk tale type of well water becomes wine, combing the historical evolution of the story, and analyze its cultural connotations.The forth part excavate the artistic characteristics and the ideological content of the Yellow Crane Tower Legend, put emphasis on its language features, narrative features and legendary. Counter its rich ideological content with god worship and ethical concept of Taoism.Conclusion part summarizes as a mass of confused of legend group, the Yellow Crane Tower Legend has rich artistic and cultural value, this part reiterated the research value and realistic meaning.
