Abstract


Teaching Chinese Characters in TCSL in the Perspective of Culture is decided by both theChinese characters cultural characteristics and the objective need of foreign students learningChinese characters. Chinese Characters is not only a tool for communication but also a path tothe unique Chinese culture for foreign students. In the teaching of foreign Chinese characters,teachers should convey the rich cultural information to foreign students in order to improve theforeign students learning interest to Chinese culture. Based on it, this paper puts forward thepervasion of culture teaching in Chinese characters teaching in TCSL. This paper describes theimplementation of foreign Chinese characters in the perspective of culture teaching theory basisand significance, and then carries on the analysis to the present situation of foreign Chinesecharacters teaching research. According to the survey report of foreign students Chinesecharacters learning situation, this paper tries to find out the foreign students Chinese characterslearning problems, and then puts forward to the Chinese characters teaching methods in thecultural perspective, which’s purpose is to extend the foreign Chinese characters teaching ideas,improve teaching efficiency of Chinese characters teaching and cultivate students’ interest inlearning Chinese. Finally, it expounds the basic principle of teaching Chinese as a secondlanguage in the Perspective of Culture. In short, teaching Chinese characters to foreigners cannot ignore the rich cultural connotation of Chinese characters and cannot be separated from thecultural foundation of the Chinese characters.Chinese character teaching is generally considered difficult in teaching Chinese as a secondlanguage. The integration of culture teaching and Chinese characters teaching conforms to thecognitive laws of foreign students, which can improve the learning efficiency of Chinesecharacters, stimulate students interest in learning and help them understand the Chinese culture.
