Abstract

With the rapid development of electronic technology and computer technology , video image processing technology continue to promote and improve the video image processing applications are constantly expanding and extending . , FPGA with a large capacity , high-speed , low-power , low-cost , high integration , the development cycle short , plays an increasingly important role in the video image processing . This paper introduces a FPGA system design of video image processing , including image acquisition, storage , display and transmission , and image algorithm research . The system consists of a video image acquisition module, the video image storage module , the video image display module , the video image transmission module and configuration circuitry module . Collecting portion receives the analog video signal from the CCD camera , SAA7113 output digital video signal by the video decoder chip ; completion of the storage section of the frame buffer of the image data in the SRAM memory , ready for the back-end image processing ; display section from memory image data read out by the video encoder chip SAA7121 output analog video signal displayed on a CRT display image ; completion of the transmission part of the video signal transmission from the memory to the PC using the RS232 serial transmission data received through the serial port debugging software . This system makes use of FPGA internal resources , you do not have external memory devices and microcontrollers , can achieve high-speed real-time image processing . The design in the Quartus II software platform development and running in the Red Cyclone Series development board ( RC II - CY1C6 of ) on a complete set of video image processing system .
