Abstract


Since the1980s, under the impetus of the reform and opening up, China has entered a rapid development of urbanization and industrialization society in transition. At the same time, a lot of labor from underdeveloped rural areas flow to the more economically developed urban areas. However, due to rural-urban divide in China has long been the dual economic structure and the household registration system, the current difficult family migration, so in China’s vast rural areas will form a special group of people-stay for the elderly. According to scholars estimate that, at present, the elderly in China has reached about50million people. China’s social security system is far from perfect and increasingly weakening of traditional family pension, their pension problems gradually caused widespread concern in the community; it has also become a "well-off society" and the "new rural construction solved problems. Based on the results of previous studies, and semi-structured interviews, Gaoping City, Shanxi Province B town B stay for the elderly in the village of case interviews and in-depth understanding of the period through the causes of the left-behind elderly, living situation, and facing the pension dilemma analyzed the main characteristics of this group of the reasons for its pension difficulties and propose solutions the rural stay Aged difficult countermeasures based on this.Paper is divided into five parts:The first chapter introduces the research background, significance; proposed main content of this study; summarized the research status at home and abroad; pointed out that the innovations and limitations of this study.The second chapter defining the concept of the left-behind elderly,introduce the produce and the main features of this group.The third chapter as the investigation place for example to introduce the pension dilemma which faced by the left-behind elderly.The fourth chapter, based on the actual living conditions of the investigation to stay for the elderly in rural areas and their pension dilemma facing the reality analysis the reasons of the left-behind elderly’s pension lilemma.The fifth chapter proposes pension plight of rural left-behind elderly countermeasures.
