Abstract


As a trade and investment integration arrangement, Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is the newest development pattern within the Asia-Pacific region. This progress got a lot of attention in the world. Ultimately, its integration will be constructed towards the Asia-Pacific region. It also represents the multi-levels strategic considerations of the U.S. On one hand, TPP can prompt domestic economic development, trade growth and employment. On the other hand, it will promote the construction of new international trade rules which is led by its own will. TPP will also bring complex and profound effects to China. It has a significantly realistic meaning that how can China correctly deal with the challenges brought by TPP and grab the develop opportunities in the new era.This dissertation is divided into five parts. The first part introduced the selection significance, research status, innovation and research methods; In the second part, we firstly described the TPP’s initiate and latest progress, then stated the relations between TPP and other integration arrangements, introduced the function and subjects of TPP in the end; the third part described the reasons of the U.S. promote TPP, mostly from the economic and political perspectives; the fourth part extensively introduced the TPP’s effect to China, the possibility and time that China may join the TPP and China’s response; the fifth part got the conclusions and summarized the development direction of TPP in the future and China’s policy.In conclusion, this dissertation will help us to understand the subjects of TPP comprehensively and systematically, help China to make policies and rules reasonably and effectively and deal with the effects brought by TPP.
