Abstract


As the most important international official organization with great influence,UN plays a crucial role in promoting the world peace and security as well as thedevelopment of the whole world. After World War II, Japan had joined the UnitedNations actively in order to change the isolated position itself.With the re-emergenceof the Japanese economy, the political ambitions also Continued expansion, Japan inthe international society is determined to change its image which is” an economicgiant, a political pygmy”, and try to build a new status which is “the political power,military power”.Japan is a country believe in pragmatism, it is so tireless in pursuit ofa permanent member of the UN Security Council seat not only to change the image ofthe defeated nation, and in order to achieve a breakthrough in the political andmilitary, and then to seek greater economic benefits. Japan’s bidding for permanentSeat on the UNSC is based on the comprehensive factors of national interests,national power, position and role in the United Nations, in turn, the series of dynamicmechanism affects Japan’s UN diplomacy in the future. Japan’ perseverance in theroad of fighting the permanent members of the UN Security Council for decades, tothis end,result in the accumulation of the huge economic, military and diplomaticresources, but there are constraints that can not be ignored, it is the existence of thesefactors that led to Japan UNSC failed again and again. Although the twice movementsin1995and2005to fight the permanent members all ended in failure,But Japan cannot easily give up as its insularity of never throw in the towel.However, if Japan doesnot well resolve historical issues, diplomatic independence of their own problems,Japan will strive to become a permanent member of the UN Security Council isdifficult to obtain the trust and support of the majority of the countries of the UnitedNations, therefore,the road of striving to become a permanent member may extremelylong.Japan is China’s neighbors, the friendly exchanges between China and Japan hasthousands of years,but in history,Japan had also been serious hurt our people,broughtgreat harm to our people,and in recent years in Japan militarism thought Started torecover,it began to provoke China in the issue of the Diaoyu Islands, history.For thereason that,this strategic behavior of Japan’s striving to become a permanent memberof the UN Security Council not only the meaning of their own material, but alsorelated to the national interests of China and other Asian neighbors.Therefore, weneed to grasp the essence of striving to become a permanent member and the Japan’sfuture political trends,aimed at the better respond to the challenge of striving tobecome a permanent member of the UN Security Council as Japan brought,so that we not only safeguard the country’s interests ourselves, but also to promote thedevelopment of Sino-Japanese relations toward the direction of the healthy,comprehensive.
