Abstract


Wan Brothers are pioneers in animation, and the important representatives of animated film in the "Chinese School". Inspired by their access to the animation industry in the animation works, Osamu Tezuka is a landmark figure in Japanese animation. He known as "the father of modern Japanese animation." created a model of modern Japanese animation industry, Wan Brothers in China and Osamu Tezuka in Japan both play an important role in the animation history; the animation of their work reflects the prevailing development of animation art. By comparison and analysis of their works to the development of contemporary Chinese animation, the paper provides some references.This paper takes Wan Brothers and Osamu Tezuka’s animation works for the study. First, the paper gives an overview of the creative experience of the Wan Brothers and Osamu Tezuka, and also the concept of animation.(second , the paper do a detailed analysis on the theme, narrative techniques, and art forms, in order to discover the success of Wan Brothers and Osamu Tezuka’s ,and compare the similarities and differences of the performance in characteristics.Through research and analysis of the background of period, national psychology, aesthetic meaning and values, and animation mode of Wan Brothers and Osamu Tezuka, this paper provides a detailed overview of the underlying causes of the different works.The paper that based on the previous studies analysis the problems of the development of Chinese animation. Then it comes up with its own ideas and suggestions on carrying on the animation spirits of Wan Brothers and osamu tezuka. It also wants to explore the future development direction of Chinese animation.Chinese animation is on the important moment of revolution and transformation at present. It makes a great significance to do the research of the Wan Brothers and Osamu Tezuka’s by comparing and studying.
