Abstract


In this thesis, the analysis methods, such as compare analysis and literature revieww are applied in order to study the multi-intelligent theory and the individualized teaching style.Firstly, this thesis,on the basis of backup, discussed the based rules, the main contest and its major views. Howard Gardner, the psychologist of Harvard University believes people have Multiple Intelligences, besides the traditional Logical/Mathematical and Verbal/Linguistic Intelligences, people also have Musical and Rhythmic Intelligence, Visual and Spatial Intelligence, Interpersonal Intelligence, Intrapersonal Intelligence, Naturalist Intelligence, Bodily and Kinesthetic Intelligence, and Existential Intelligence. He believes every child possesses the above eight kinds of intelligences. The combination of the eight different intelligences determines the individual’s intelligence difference. The eight different intelligences represent the children’s potency and they can be developed in the proper situations.Secondly, I explain the concept of individualized teaching style and analysis the characteristics of the individualized teaching style in view of the multi-intelligent theory: managing one’s strength in intelligence, taking into account children’s differences, using the individualized learning materials, teaching in accordance with every child’s own learning preference and style and assessing students for perpose of promoting their intelligence development.Finally, according to the multi-intelligent theory, each child has his own intelligence bent. So the school should teach them with different special method to enlarge the educational effect. And the principles of individualized teaching style include:following the greater Intelligence, supplying good opportunities, making requests in rank orders, and more classroom interaction. And it also elaborates four segment of the instructional teaching design of the individualized teaching style in view of the multi-intelligent theory:analying the study objects, setting goals, choosing the ways of teaching, and accessing the teaching results. At last, this paper proposes some ways to carry the individualized teaching style.
