Abstract


With the continuous development of quality education, especially in recent years the releasing of students’ burden of fundamental education, the practice of new vocation law, students have more leisure time.Primary school stage is the key period of physical and mental development of children. Leisure life is becoming a important and essential part of their life. From the individual aspects, the quality of students leisure life play a decisive role on Pupils’ comprehensive development, which contributes to the student’s body and mind, intelligence, thought, moral quality, and contributes to the development of students personality and self realization, the full realization of the all-round development goals. From the social aspects, children are the future and hope of the nation. We should let every child’s body and mind being comprehensive, healthy and full developed. So as to promote and influence the development and progress of society.Inspecting the recent practice, the leisure life of the students is ignored by the public and students themselves, which has directly influence on pupils’physical and mental health. How to make students personality fully developed, and have a rich and colorful leisure life? This practical problem should be aroused all walks of life’s great attention. It’ no doubt that social, school, parents have responsibility to give student appropriate guidance and instructions, to let them know the value and meaning of leisure life.This article attempts to review existing leisure education on the basis of research results, using questionnaires.interviews and other research methods to investigate student’s current leisure life. The main structure of this thesis is made up of four parts as follows:Part one:Introduction, it introduces the background, the summarization of the research, and the research methods.Part two:Defines the useful conceptions, and probes into the significance of leisure life to higher-grade students in primary school.Part three:The analysis of the actuality of the leisure life for the higher-grade students in primary school in Changsha.Part four:It points out the problems in the leisure life of the higher-grade students in primary school in Changsha and puts forward some reasonable suggestions:to know students leisure life value; the reform of examination and evaluation system of primary school; cultivate student’s ability to carry out leisure activities; strengthen the pupils’self-education consciousness; construction of family, school, society three-in-one education network.
