Abstract


The significance and mission of the reading teaching have been made clear in the new round of the curriculum reform. It advocates children’s independent reading, personalized reading and calls for independent, cooperative and exploratory teaching methods. However, there still are teachers who acting on students’ behalf in the reading teaching for Chinese in primary school nowadays. As a result, children’s interest in text reading has not been aroused and the bridge between the text and the daily life is unsuccessfully built. Children’s images of vibrant and dynamic individual characters have not been made prominent in reading teaching. The primary school is the initial and key stage for cultivating children’s reading interest and reading habits. And the reading teaching method for Chinese in primary school has a far-reaching influence on children’s physical and mental health, academic achievements and the happiness of their life.This thesis, under the guidance of the idea of "student-based education" put forward by Professor GuoSile, on the basis of consulting a large number of research materials, explains the aim, procedure and destination of reading teaching for Chinese in primary school from the angles of "life, ecology and livelihood". Through viewing and emulating the reading teaching for Chinese and collecting related cases, the author reproduces the specific operation of reading teaching for Chinese in primary school which goes from the aim to the process under the guidance of the "student-based education". The author finds that the reading teaching based on students whose mode is "task-group discussion-presentation" is good to demonstrate the vitality of children and broaden reading horizon of children and enrich their spiritual life. It is also good to improve children’s accomplishments in Chinese and pavea happy way for their future life. When reflecting the Chinese classes taught in the way of reading teaching under the idea of "student-based education", we find that there still are many problems, such as the unbalance of the instrumental goal and the humanistic goal, the loosing connection between the life and the reading text and the contradiction between the experience of activities and the comprehension of the reading text. The author, through reflecting on some problems occurred in practice, intends to provide some constructive suggestion to the reading teaching for Chinese in primary school.
