Abstract


Extracurricular reading is one of the important elements of language curriculum, because it isan import way to enhance students ’ language proficiency and increase cognitive ability the world.we must attach great importance to foster the students’broad reading interests."Interest is aprerequisite for reading activities and it is the most active factor in motive.The key to extracarriculum is the happiness in reading, it can be beneficiary to the students.For the vast majority ofpupils, what they are interested impacts their reading activities.Therefore, we must try to "makeevery child lives in their own book life."Lower primary school stage is an important period tonurture children’s interests in extra carriculum reading.It is of great importance for promoting boththeir middle-aged and higer-aged good reading habits forming.During the process of writing,theauthor is concerned with lower primary students’psychological characteristics,take the city ofNingbo primary school for example, pays attention to the advantage and important significance ofthe extra carriculum reading in the language study course.On the concrete evidence, combinedwith questionnaires, reveals the existence of lower primary school students extracurricular readingcurrent problems.The author find that reading target deletions and reading, teachers don’t payattention to reading, lack of family cultural background differences caused by the low interest oflower primary school students in reading class. And the importance of reading content selection,ensure the extracurricular reading guidance method of training time, reading interests, theestablishment of an effective evaluation mechanism for four strategies.The author tries to guideteachers and parents to become more actively in the activity of improving children’s readinginterests and ability.
