Abstract


It has been 6 years Since the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Board was launched in 2004. Till March 2010, companies listed in the SME Board have reached 370. Based on the current situation of our country, SME Board was released by drawing the successful experiences and failures of foreign Growth Enterprise Market (GEM). It is the government’s significant decision-making in accordance with the needs of the economic construction and society development. The growth of SMEs in China has played a significant role in promoting China’s economic development. However, due to subjective and objective reasons, the growth of SMEs have encountered a variety of obstacles in the process of growing, at the same time, the study of the SMEs’growth and investment value has become the focus of academic research. Taking the companies of SME Board as the main object of study, this paper conducted a comprehensive evaluation on SME growth with the real financial data and empirical statistical methods.First, from enterprise and its concept of growth, this paper arranges relevant literature about enterprise grows up theory and opinions at home and abroad. Second, it introduces development of companies of SME Board. Third, according to outcome from predecessors and development of companies of SME Board, it ascertain appraisal target of growth companies of SME Board. Fourth, this paper uses SPSS statistical analysis software, uses factor analysis method and componential analysis method to research growth of companies of SME Board,the research shows that profitability,solvency and operational capacity is the greatest impact indicators. Profitability is main factor for business growth and its contribution rate is 19.463%.There are two points of innovation in this paper. First, it summarizes theories of enterprise development on the literature review from three points. The first one is from the various factors which is correlative to the growth of enterprises to study the enterprises development; the second one is the study of enterprises develop border, it focus on external border of enterprises; the third one is the study of the growing period of enterprises. This is a new method of division compares with previous literature. Second, when it chooses the proper indicator to judge growth of companies of SME Board, it introduces operational capacity indicator to take place fund operational capacity of indicator, which is used in most studies. Operational capabilities are based on external market conditions of enterprises, and through internal human resources and configuration of means of production to impact financial targets. The operation capability of human resource is measured by work efficiency in this paper.
