Abstract


Since new China was founded in1949, economic made a great leap forward after morethan half a century of development, it formed "based on agriculture, industry as the leading"economic development guidelines in the theory, but in the real economic development,agricultural development has been belong to the industrial development, the agricultural isin the development of adverse situation. our country began to emphasize the economicstatus of agriculture in recent years, and to made a large number of agricultural developmentpolicies to committed to the development of modern agriculture, the agriculture, farmersand rural development issues is in the important position,Theodore W.Schultz, the United States development economist, published a book asearly as in1964, it is named transforming traditional agriculture, it becomes a veryimportant book about agricultural development issues in developing countries. In the bookof transforming traditional agriculture, he denied the point of the agriculture can’t made asignificant contribution to economic growth, but this kind of agriculture must be modernagriculture, so the key to the problem is how to transform traditional agriculture to modernagriculture. Schultz points out that the basic way to transform traditional agriculture intomodern agriculture is investing in agriculture: one investment is for new production factors(especially new technology); the second investment is for farmers (labors).vocational education as a kind of cultivate people’s production, management, serviceline skills applied talents education, to cultivate new farmers, agricultural science andtechnology are duty-bound, vocational education has much great significance in promotingagricultural modernization. This research is divided into four chapters:ChapterⅠ:It is mainly put forward the question and make an overview about the effectof vocational education of agriculture development, on the basis of the selected topicsignificance of this study, research contents, research methods and innovative papers.ChapterⅡ: Based on the schultz’s book about transforming traditional agriculture,analysis of the traditional agricultural growth way and the reason for the poor, Put forwardto the basic way of transform traditional agriculture is investment, through investment thenew production elements to the agricultural and human capital investment, it is the way tochange the traditional agriculture into modern agriculture. ChapterⅢ: Based on Schultz’s thought of transforming traditional agriculture, theauthor expounds the effect of vocational education in introduction of new production factorsof agriculture and the role of raising farmers’ intelligence.ChapterⅣ: According to the important role of vocational education in the realization ofagriculture modernization, and pointed out that the development of vocational educationshould be how to, in order to better promote the development of agricultural modernization.
