With the rapid development of computer technology, communication technology andmicroelectronics technology, real-time digital signal processing speed becomes faster and faster,which makes new demands of data processing speed to the data acquisition system. However, dueto the manufacturing process of analog devices develops slowly, the monolithic ADC technology ishard to obtain high speed while maintaining a high sampling accuracy, relying solely on thissingle-chip ADC technology to design the high-speed ADC system is hard to meet the demand forhigh-speed sampling technology.The emergence of parallel multi-channel technology is a good solution to this contradiction.The parallel multi-channel technology is also called time-interleaved sampling technology. Thistechnique uses M-chip low-speed ADC to sample data in the time-interleaved mode, and thenstitches the M-channels’ data together at the backend system, which can easily improve thesampling rate by gathering the M-channels’ sampling rate. This kind of measure can theoreticallyreach a high precision bit-wide, while exponentially increasing the sampling rate of the samplingsystem. However, because of the time-interleaved sampling technique depending on the exact fitamong the various channels, it is inevitable to introduce channel mismatch errors to the system, thiskind of mismatch errors include offset mismatch error, gain mismatch error and time mismatch error.If you do not carry out effective methods to estimate and calibrate the three errors, it will bringserious distortion to the sampling data; moreover, it can lead to the failure of the acquisition data.This paper focuses on analyzing the time-interleaved ADC system and its channel mismatcherror., and uses the Matlab software to establish the behavioral model of the time-interleavedsampling system, so as to analyze the sources of the channel mismatch errors as well as the methodsto estimate and calibrate the errors; Then, using two ADC chips and other peripheral equipments tobuild the hardware circuit of ADC sampling system based on time-interleaved technology, andestimate and calibrate the errors of the collected data at the same time.
