Abstract


Mobile terminal technology already got great improvement. From2007, iPhone and Google Android led the cell phone into the smart era. In current smart phone market, products are always been replaced rapidly because of the technology improvement and consumers’ requirements. In order to keep up with the pace of market, suppliers have to improve the products development procedure to make sure the development cost is less, especially the cost on software development. System testing is very important to the software development; the less cost system testing will certainly benefit the software development.This thesis tries to introduce the risk management of software engineering to system testing, so that the system testing will cost less. The plan of system testing based on the fixed organization, and all of the roles defined with clear responsibility. The risk management system-testing framework and processes defined also, the activities and regarding output included. Risk identification focus on the software system changes, such as bug fixing and new function integration. RCB (Risk Control Board) will find out the root cause and the impacted areas of risks and assess the risks’ level, risk strategies defined also on RCB. AT (Assessment Team) will take over the system-testing base on risk assessment result. During system testing, risk collection is also need to be continuers and RCB need the feedback of ATs’ system testing result, which used to update the risks’ list and risks’ level. One cycled risk management system is there, and will lead the system testing to avoid the rapid full scope regression testing. Then the system testing will be more efficient and cost less.The risk management system testing already implemented on an Android project, and the result proved that the plan is solid and effective. This plan is not only available for the Android system testing, but also effective on the others in a certain degree. All of the system testing engineers could use this for the reference.
