With the port city of more and more attention, the new economic growth point oftransfer to the coastal port cities, the study of the port and industrial city relationshipsare increasing. In this paper, the use of port throughput, regional GDP, the proportionof added value of the secondary industry and other indicators, the use of graycorrelation analysis and empirical competitiveness index of the sea port and Taizhou,Zhejiang Province, the ports were compared and found: sea port on the waterfrontGDP growth in the low efficiency of the city, but the GDP, industry and otherindustries play an important role in the development of the port; compared toneighboring ports, sea ports, industry, joint development between urban weaker thanthe three major ports, stronger than the small port, sea port competitiveness isgradually strengthened, grew faster than the neighboring ports; sea ports, industries,accelerate the linkage effects between the three cities. Long-term perspective, theproposed Chittagong sea port positioned in the town, and actively develop the portindustry, port industry cluster effect play, while vigorously expand and strengthen tieswith the hinterland. Need to do a good job of supporting large port on the portshort-term, in order to achieve "the river is full, the river is full," the goal.
