Resource-based cities provide the necessary energy and raw materials, mineralsboth for economic and social development, also led the development of relatedindustries to create employment opportunities, and greatly promote the regionaleconomic development. However, with the development of the resource, resources intodepletion gradually. Resource-based cities may face the economic downturn, highunemployment, restore the ecological environment, develop alternative alternativeindustries, business issues such as sustainable development. Resource-exhausted citieshave to practice industrial transformation and sustainable development has become theglobal problem.Xingtai City was one of the resource-based cities which is based on mineralresources, and metallurgical, coal, building materials are the pillar industries of it. Thecity is characterized by abundant mineral resources, mineral obvious advantages and ismore concentrated. But its investigation and evaluation of mineral resources, lack ofcapital investment, new mineral land is scarce. The original way of development andutilization of mining resources is extensive, waste phenomenon still existing. Most ofthe shallow ore Mining is nearing completion, the mine geological environment isserious. With the appear of some resources cities’ problems, Industrial Transformationresearch of Xingtai City is meaningful for improving the urban ecological environment,and maintain the sustainable development of urban economic and social significance.In this thesis, has comprehensive use the method such as qualitative analysis andquantitative analysis, empirical analysis and normative analysis, to research Resourcescities’ Industrial Structure and Industry Development in various comparison andreference, focusing on on the following issues.First, sort out the classification of resource-based cities;Discusses regionaleconomic theory, sustainable development theory, material balance theory, evolution ofthe industry-in transition theory, the resource curse theory; Compare domestic andforeign resources Industrial Transformation model; Obtained experience for XingtaiCity industrial restructuring; Study the transformation of resource-based city model,summarizes three Industrial Transformation models of resource-based cities. Second, analysis the the basis of Industry transformation of xingtai city. Researchindustry transformation of xingtai city pattern. Raise the Should followed principles forIndustry transformation of xingtai cityAgain, studied the support system for industry transformation of xingtai city.Through the analysis of xingtai in technology, talent,funds and policy.Constructing thecorresponding for industry transformation of xingtai city support system.Finally, create SWOT model of industrial structure in Xingtai City, analysis theindustrial structure similarity, and proposed the support system and countermeasuresfor industrial restructuring.
