Development of the walnut forests, with economic, social and ecological benefits, is an effective way to adjust the industrial structure in rural areas, promote the new rural construction, and speed up the step of farmers becoming rich, development of the walnut industry is one of the current ecological civilized society and the entry point of the new rural construction, is the hope of people in rural areas.On the basis of the relevant literature and theory, analysis walnut industry development of farm inputs and the various factors affecting farm inputs by field survey data. First of all, on the basic situation of Neijiang walnut industry conditions, the scale of planting and government policies, build Neijiang City walnut industry development evaluation index system, quantitative evaluation of the stage of development of the walnut industry of Neijiang City, pointed out that the farmers operating invested in its development is a key role. Secondly, research the structure of the farmers put into the operating Neijiang walnut industry, introduce farmers expected prospects of walnut planting, social capital and farmers satisfaction three easy to overlook, or not easy to quantify important hidden variables, found that farmers expected prospects of walnut planting and farmers satisfaction have a significant effect to farmers operating inputs behavior. Again, analysis the the farmers operating inputs influencing factors quantitatively. Finally, puts forward a number of recommendations to promote the development of the walnut industry in Neijiang City.In this study, we achieve the following conclusions:(1) the final score of walnut industry of Neijiang City is66.14, indicating that its development in good condition and have certain advantages:advanced infrastructure investment of the Government of Neijiang walnut industry, the large scale of walnut planting, good foundation for development, great potential for the development, good social benefits, and achieve ecological objectives of the Grain for Green Project.(2) the level of farmers’ investment in Neijiang City walnut planting is generally low, and the structure is irrational, daily engaged in the day-to-day management of the farmers of walnuts technology, management awareness and environmental awareness is relatively poor.(3) the farmers planting walnut operating inputs is relation to the education level of the head of household, gender, walnuts planting area, walnut income accounted for the proportion of total household income, number of family-owned labor, the willingness of farmers planting walnut, the satisfaction degree with government technical services, the age of the head of household and farmers’ expectations of the prospects of walnut sales market, related proportion of walnut income share of total household income is the most critical factor.(4) Farmers’ expectations on the prospects of walnut planting and farmers technical satisfaction of the farmers operating behavior have a significant effect.The policy recommendations:(1) to promote the standardization of production vigorously and strengthen the base of large-scale construction.(2) to develop the the driven "main", increasing the level of industrial management.(3) to innovate support mechanisms, and tap the potential of industrial development.
