With the social development, the pace of information society, the global fashion news and information in an increasingly rich and spread faster. The effective collection and use of popular information, and apply the appropriate information to the brand, developing products that meet consumer demand, improve the clothing brand’s influence, to expand the market. Our product development planning in the need to focus on things. A good clothing brand is bound to meet market demand, while the apparel product development, has decided to sell its brand and market response key. At home, on a complete range of apparel product development model in the enterprise application is still-relatively lacking, such as the popular use of information collection and extraction still a lack of a more systematic approach. How to conduct effective product development, to understand the market demand and trends information, in complex product development part of the information through the use of popular and sort of direction for the understanding of consumer needs, develop valuable, innovative products to meet consumer the market demand, a brand can be the key to healthy development. To solve these problems step by step to meet the needs of the market this background, so that the brand in the increasingly competitive market environment in the upper hand.Popular use of the information research hotspot in the clothing of this ever-changing fashion industry is very important. The prevalence in the country-specific information in the product development methods applied research is still relatively lacking. For this method of research has practical significance. Therefore, this paper tries to analyze this topic from different perspectives and research. Combination of fashion design and marketing science, information science and methodology to study such disciplines as knowledge points, for the basic design theory, research, relying on and learn from other disciplines relevant theories to support the theory to find a breakthrough and innovation of this theory point. In explaining the theory of knowledge some of the basic concepts and popular clothing brand product development, the role and significance, based on the information content of popular systematic classification analysis, including those from the major aspects of the concept to specific details of the ideas analysis, and the content layer by layer progressive mode of integration, the theoretical framework for the establishment of a specific system to parse the content and method. Information content of popular quantitative and qualitative data collection and research analysis, and a comparative approach to vertical and horizontal comparison, the content and multi-angle comparative study. Finally, the use of case study method, through the southern commoner and the European women’s brand power of these two different styles, when positioning the product analysis, and the brand attributes for the specific case of simulation of the operation in order to demonstrate an example to demonstrate the method.Information through the popular clothing brand in the elements of product development, extraction methods a series of studies, obtained the following results and conclusions:1.
