Small and medium enterprises (?)ME), as a representative of the national market vitality, is the cornerstone of China’s economic development and social stability, and the SME financing is directly related to the stability of the national economic and social development. The financing difficulties belongs to a world-wide problem, and it is the same in our country. In1998, Premier Zhu Rongji proposed to pay attention to the issue of financing of SMEs; SME was in the trouble of "anemia", and how to support SME, how to choose the crack path, to improve the financing of SMEs, our governments launched a series of promotional measures.Facing the same financing problems, the different enterprise has different motivation. Enterprises usually raise funds for three purposes: business expansion, corporate debt, as well as mixed motives (expansion and debt motives mixed together). The different purpose of financing leads to the differences of the time of need funds, the financing cost control, choice of financing channels and the degree of difficulties.This article firstly analyses the important role the small and medium enterprises played in the development of the national economy and the cause of prevalence of the financing problem.
