OBJECTIVE: To compare hemiarthroplasty and dynamic hip screw (DHS) treatment of senile intertrochanteric unstable fracture clinical efficacy evaluation plus shank cemented hemiarthroplasty for treatment of senile intertrochanteric fracture of application value. Methods: our department from January 2004 to January 2009 admitted 158 cases of intertrochanteric fractures , fractures according to Evans points , Ⅲ type 92 cases , Ⅳ type 66 cases . These patients underwent surgical treatment , 93 patients underwent DHS fixation, 57 were male and 36 females , mean age 74.9 years ( 65-96 years old ) ; 65 cases underwent plus shank cemented hemiarthroplasty , male 26 cases , female 39 cases of , the average age 81.1 years old ( 68-91 years old ) ; pairs between the two groups 's hospitalization time, surgery the situation , postoperative hip joint functional recovery situation , postoperative complications and other aspects indicators of carry on compare , parallel relevant statistical tests and analysis. Results : The two groups in the preoperative hospital stay, total hospitalization time, incision length , blood loss, blood transfusion, postoperative drainage between the difference was not significant (P gt; 0.05); while in operation time, bed time , postoperative complications, hip joint functional recovery of aspects of the compare , the difference was statistically significance (P lt; 0.05). Conclusion: hemiarthroplasty treatment of senile intertrochanteric fractures can shorten the operation time and postoperative bed time , early postoperative complications fewer hip function and quick recovery , is a high-value surgical procedures.
