Study on the relationship between the interface structure and entrepreneurial resources acquisition contract

The acquisition of entrepreneurial resource is always a great challenge for entrepreneurs then they start up. So an effective way for the entrepreneurs to acquire entrepreneurial resources is important to improve the start-ups and benefit development of society and economy. But the previous studies of entrepreneurial resources overly focus on the influence of network, encouraging entrepreneurs to input more resources and time into social network activities which may have no effect. Otherwhile acquiring entrepreneurial resources through social capital may bring the entrepreneurial firm many development problems. So this study, by combining perspectives of relationship and formal contract, explored the influence of contractual interface structure on acquisition of entrepreneurial resources, aiming to provide a more operatable way for entrepreneurs who have no way to improve social networks to get the resources.By literature reviews, this study first proposed a theoretical model including constructs like contractual interface, trust, acquisition of entrepreneurial resource and exploration-exploitation frame. The based on the theoretical model, we interviewed many entrepreneurs and investors, and constructed the experimental materials for our experiments. We created a2*2factorial design, with four groups of participants. For each interface and task, one group read the broad interface contract, the other read the narrow one. Then we used SPSS17.0and Amos7.0to analyze the data. The scale analysis included reliability analysis, the exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis for the scale’s structure. Independent Sample T test and correlation analysis were made to examine the relevance between variables. Finally, regression analyses were used to examine the mediating effect and two factors analysis of variance for moderating effect. Through the above analysis, this study concluded that:(1)contractual interface structure had a significant effect on entrepreneurial resource acquisition, the broad contractual interface structure is more likely to brings the entrepreneurs resource;(2) competence trust and goodwill trust mediated the effects partly;(3) task characteristics doesn’t perform a moderator for the effects.This study combined the perspectives of relationship and formal contract, used the interface structure of contract to explain and predict acquisition of entrepreneurial resource, and also analyzed the function of competence trust and goodwill trust, which is a complement for entrepreneurial resource theories. The research provided us with two kinds of revelations:first, the entrepreneurs can fit their entrepreneur programmers with suitable contractual interface structure, to win the investors’trust, and then realize the financing purpose; second, the alliances between two or more companies can also use this research result to improve their cooperation performance.
