Abstract


With the economic globalization and the rapid development of seience and technology, firms will win competitive advantage by continuous learning, knowledge creation and improving innovation capability, not only by the possession of scarce resoucres. However, any firm cannot satisfy the need of innovation resources only depending upon its internal limited resoucres. Fimrs, therefore, are striding forward to open, collaborative, network and dynamic integration in order to effectively make use of their internal and external resources. In our country, the listed high-tech enterprises play a rather important role in national economic development. It is not only anaimportant growth point, but also created a large number of job opportunities and technology innovation. With the acceleration of the process of economic globalization, the listed high-tech enterprises of China are faced with more opportunities and challenges. If the listed high-tech enterprises want to improve their market eompetitiveness, it is neeessary to enhance the technology innovative performance.So far, most scholars agree that social capital of enterprises have a positive impact in technological innovation, however, the mechanism that social capital impact on technological innovation performance is still no conclusion. The studies faced on the listed high-tech enterprises are still less.By combining the theory of social capital with the theory of innovation, this dissertation is to systematically analyze the relationship bewteen firm’s social capital and the performance of innovation from the corporate social capital dimension. On the basis of reviewing much related literature, it points that the agent of innovation has become multi-eagent model from single-agent model beceause of firm’s social capital. Secondly, starting from the2components of social capital, this thesis is to sysetmatieally analyze how fjrm’s social capital affects the performance of innovation by influencing the absorptive capacity. Furthermoer, it is to construct the theoretical framework in order to open the "black box" of how firms’social capital affects the performance of innovation. And then, through mining the annual report of the132listed high-tech enterprises of China, extracting the indicators of social capital and innovation performance, this paper analyzes in detial the mechanism of how firm’s social capital affects the performance of innovation recurring to SPSS. At last, this paper makes the end result:social capital of the listed high-tech enterprises has a positive promotion role in the innovation performance through the absorptive capacity.
