Objective: To evaluate the MAH programs ( mitoxantrone the cytarabine Homoharringtonine alkali ) treatment of refractory and relapsed acute myeloid leukemia efficacy and safety . : MAH program (mitoxantrone 10 mg qd , continuous intravenous infusion, once every 2 to 3 days ; cytarabine 100mg bid, continuous intravenous infusion , once every 5 to 7 days ; the homoharringtonine base 4 mg qd , intravenous continuous infusion , once every 5 to 7 days ) in the treatment of 37 patients with refractory and relapsed acute myeloid leukemia, refractory the AML15 cases , recurrence AML22 patients . Results: 37 patients with refractory and relapsed AML patients MAH program after 1 to 2 cycles of induction chemotherapy , 15 cases achieved complete remission ( CR ) , CR was 40.5 % ( 15 / 37 ) , of which 14 patients received a courses of induction chemotherapy, patients received two cycles of induction chemotherapy , patients reached partial remission ( PR ) , PR rate was 2.7% ( 1 / 37 ) , with a total effective rate of 43.2% . The median follow-up time was 97 days ( 18 to 487) , median recurrence-free survival time ( RFS ) 147 ( 341 ) days . The main adverse reactions were myelosuppression caused by infection and bleeding . Conclusion : MAH program on the part of refractory and relapsed AML is still valid , the side effects can be tolerated for the treatment of refractory and relapsed AML invalid for other chemotherapy and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for patients with create opportunities .
