As a very special form of written language, official document is notonly a mirror of the ancient social political and economic, but also a part of ancientculture. Therefore, the rheological studies of ancient official document carriersrepresent positive values both for linguistics and official literature. Based on thematerial carrier and symbol carrier of the official documents from Xia dynasty tothe Qing dynasty (before the opium war), combined with the development of socialform and documents, this article confirmed the comprehensive significance oflinguistics, literature, philology and other aspects by study on multiple perspectivesof disciplines for the very first time. Go through the whole evolution process ofancient document material carriers and symbol carriers from surface to essence,from shallower to deeper, from single to comprehensive carefully. By discussingtheir origin and changes, essential causes and effects, sketching out the system,summarizing the regular, analyzing the characteristics horizontally, launching a vastpicture of multiple significances, the independent status of document carriers wasestablished.
