In this era of information explosion , reading has become one of the most important basic skills for people to obtain information and reading ability is also becoming an important measure of language proficiency standards . With the globalization of information and business trends , the second foreign language reading gradually began attention. Matriculation English exam , read more component of 70 points total score of 150 points occupies almost half . Therefore , how to improve English reading classroom teaching quality also attracted the attention of the majority of first-line teachers and language researchers . This article through classroom observation , questionnaires and interviews to collect data , listen to the voices of teachers and students to explore the pros and cons of the current high school reading classroom reading theory and reading the framework of the theory of teaching strategies , and Second Language Teaching Reference advice. Learned through classroom observation data analysis , there are typical characteristics of high school English class , and reveals the following teaching problem : 1 . Excessive focus on low-level skills ; 2 . Attach enough importance to stimulate background knowledge ; teach reading vocabulary method needs to be improved ; 4 . professor of reading strategies rarely ; promote students 'reading efficiency over a single ; 6 . reading strategies used to correct the lack of students ; 7 . lack of measurable awareness of students' reading progress . The same time , the interviews and questionnaires of information obtained revealed two major contradictions that exist in the teaching of reading : First student needs Lectures inconsistent ; other teachers held ideas and classroom teaching the theory of reading and teach second language reading law theory of uncoordinated . In addition , the data collected by the teachers interviewed , not only conducive to better interpret the classroom observation data , but also conducive to further understand the motivation of teachers in classroom activities arranged , treat the challenges and difficulties facing some reading Professor policy views and Professor . On the student survey , also widely solicited their feelings and opinions about the current reading professor , found that students were generally dyslexia , and therefore provides a more practical teaching suggestions help . Lets hope that this study found that the majority of English teachers benefit .
