Abstract


In recent years , with the accelerated process of urbanization in China , the advent of urban society , making the city between the competing further exacerbate the upgrade . Different resource endowments cities adopt different competitive strategies in an attempt to seize the initiative in the changes in the economic structure and the transformation of urban development . However , coincidentally , many cities are focusing on the urban soft power , urban appeal and influence their implementation of \In the information age of globalization , soft power enhancement depends on the diffusion and widely disseminated , only when a city widely worldwide awareness and understanding of its soft power can be improved , and this is the city social information hub - the responsibility of the news media . The news media is the backbone to enhance the soft power of the city to the news media by the setting of the agenda , the guidance of public opinion , the media reality shaping and media events to build soft power to impose the most direct and the most powerful influence . Therefore , the purpose of strategic significance , how to use the news media to manufacture and implementation of soft power , has also become one of the challenges facing the rise of the information age .
