Abstract


In recent years, access to vehicle information technology is driving more and more attention. As the rapid development of automotive industry, electronic technology, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), vehicle information acquisition equipment move towards an integrated, graphical and network-oriented direction.Integrated Vehicle Information System (IVIS), presented by this theis uses LPC2478+eCos as the platform. Acting as an integrated information platform, IVIS unites the communication technology and network technology to realize the brand-new vehicle information system. The function of IVIS includes vehicle data collecting and processing, information recording and displaying, as well as fault diagnosis and alarming, GPRS networking.This theis first introduces the general framework of the system, next discusses the hardware design in detail, and then comes to the software design, which includes operating system porting, device driver programming and application programming. In the mean time, the theis discusses the framework design of IVIS in order to improve the software reusability.
