Abstract


Location based service (LBS) is a kind of information and entertainment services, accessible with mobile devices through the wireless network after users provide their geographical position by the mobile device.This paper presents a tourism information push system on mobile devices which can offer real time, accurate and lots of related information to users by the integration of of GPS/AGPS, wireless networks and text to speech technologies. This paper describes the key issues involved in our system such as capture of GIS information, push of tourism information, analysis and storage of structured tourism information, generation of 2-dimensional tourism maps, match of similar maps, text to speech as well as network transmission optimization. In order to collect tourism information and test our system more easily, this paper presents a resource collection sub-system on mobile devices and virtual tourism sub-system on PC.Compared to other tourism system, the tourism system proposed in this paper can effectively collect resource, push real time information, and give consumers impression of virtual reality.
