Abstract


Quietly for coming of the information age , as the representative of the IT network , electronic equipment , GPS terminal equipment promote location-based services . Basic geographic information is confidential , restricted social applications of geographic information . Map as an image of the geo-spatial information , the study of geographic information tools . In the rapid development of computer technology and information science and technology , digital maps have become one of the main ways of expression of geographic information and provide services for users . Therefore , production coordination , beautiful, meet the published requirements , in line with the national fundamental geographic information system construction standards of the public version of the map is an effective way to promote the application of basic geographic information society . This paper is based on the demand -oriented economic and social development , and vigorously promote the application of the results of basic surveying and mapping , and to broaden the field of mapping applications, services , and increase the Map product development efforts to improve basic surveying and mapping public service capacity requirements put forward by the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping , research through technology way to design and preparation of the public version of the map , in order to meet the social application urgent needs . The paper first introduces the basic geographic information management model at home and abroad , our country should be under the premise of safeguarding national security , the greatest extent possible to meet the application requirements of Geographic Information Society , in order to promote the socio-economic construction and the development of cartographic technology and dissertation contents ; then introduced the concept of the public version of the map , the characteristics and requirements ; then two aspects of the public version of the map symbol design and layout design ; then introduced the idea of making the public version of the map , the last preliminary the online release of the public version of the map . Map production for the public summary of the theory and practical experience to solve the secret of surveying and mapping results public , and promote the development of geographic information industry depth popularity .
