Since chaotic theory was introduced for the study of ecology in 1970s, chaos has found in some ecological systems, which shows chaotic theory is an impotant tool for studying of ecological systems.This dissertation studies the dynamic complexities of three-species food webs with intraguild-predation. In Chapter One, a survey of the study on biological chaotic phenomenon is presented. Chapter Two studies the chaotic behavior of an intraguild predation system with mixed selection of functional responses. Chapter Three considers an intraguild predation system with prey preference and studies how the prey preference affects the dynamic behavior of the system. Chapter Four studies the chaotic behavior of an intraguild predation system with Cui-Lawson growth function for the shared prey. Dynamical behaviors such as boundedness, stability, bifurcation of the models are studied critically. Numerical simulations are carried out and bifurcation diagrams and 3D phase plots are drawn for biologically feasible choice of parameters. The results show that theses systems exhibit rich complexity features such stable, periodic and chaotic dynamcis. In addition, the largest Lyapunov exponents are numerically computed to confirm further the existence of chaos.
