Abstract


Beijing, once the capital of Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, and now the political, economic and cultural center of China is the place where all kinds of Chinese cultures gather together. Since Tibet being merged into China in Yuan Dynasty, the central authorities have calls for the Tibetan Buddhist monk came eastward to the capital. Qing Dynasty courtesy of Tibetan Buddhist monks, giving those Tibetan Buddhist monks who presence in the capital for favorable treatment. Prompted a large number of Tibetan Buddhist monks stay in the capital. After Qing Dynasty dominated the whole china and made Beijing the capital, the administration Policies to Tibet and Mongolia of Yuan and Ming Dynasties were inherited. Rooted in the needs of imperial politics, a large number of Tibetan Buddhist monks stay in the capital in Qing Dynasty. Tibetan lamas began to live in the capital from“Shunzhi”period. To the mid Qing Dynasty, more and more Tibetan lamas came eastward to the capital and the number of those living in the capital and provided with some privileges. Such initiatives have a deeper level of social function. In a word, it was an important part of the Qing dynasty policy to administrate Tibet and Mongolia. It played important role in administrating Tibet and Mongolia, meanwhile it promoting the local stability of Tibet and Mongolia.
