Abstract


Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) is a serious disease, which affects the husbandry industry especially for dairy cattle. According to the practical situation of Yanqing, this article elaborated the industry actuality of Yanqing County in detail, investigated epidemiology of the disease, summarized the experience of disease annihilating, and put forward comprehensive prevention and treatment project. Although immunization is the most effective way to prevent the disease, it usually affects the production performance of dairy cattle. In order to evaluate the affectation of immunization of FMD accine objectively, this paper projected the experimental group and control group to compare the influence, including physiological index, milk production, body temperature and quality of the milk, and analyzed the anaphylactic reaction of injecting the vaccine. The results showed that after the vaccination, the cows’body temperature rose; they lost their appetite and recovered automatically in several days. Mechanical stress was greater than FMD vaccine itself, and the affection lasted an average of 5 days. The body temperature rose after immunization and lasted 3 days. The lactoprotein, solid of non-fat, specific gravity, milk sugar and ash constituent descent, but the butter fat appeared no regularity. By the analysis of the anaphylactic reaction data, we concluded that the death rate of anaphylactic reaction was between 0.014%and 0.073%, but the abortion ratio was between 0.15%and 0.52%,7.1 to 10.7 times to the death rate, which turned to be a serious problem to the FMD vaccination. The experiment showed that vaccination affected the production performance of dairy cattle which lead to a certain amount of economic loss for farmers; the government’s subsidy after immunization was a necessary way to improve the immune density
