Abstract

Fitting methods, physiological parameters and water use efficiency of light response curves of 40 grapevine cultivars, including red wine grapevine cultivars, white wine grapevine cultivars, red table grapevine cultivars and white table grapevine cultivars, have been studied with LI-6400 portable photosynthesis system in Northwest A&F University, the Yangling of Shaanxi province, from May to August in 2009. At the same time, Chlorophyll content for different grapevine cultivars was determined. Therefore, some significant results obtained were as follows.1. Non-rectangle hyperbola method and its physiological parameters are more suitable for physiological characteristics of grapevine cultivars through comparing quadratic regression, rectangle hyperbola method and non-rectangle hyperbola method of grapevine cultivars light response curves; and respond well when appearance quantum yield (α) from linear regression of 0200μmol·m-2·s-1Pn-PPFD in grapevine cultivars.2. Appearance quantum yield (α) of different grapevine cultivars was between 0.034 and 0.048, which indicated that weak light use efficiency of grapevine cultivars belong to middle and lower level; light compensation point (LCP) was between 21 and 47μmol·m-2·s-1, which showed that weak light adaptive capability of grapevine cultivars had better adaptive capability; Pmax was between 13.679 and 24.361μmol·m-2·s-1, light saturation point (LSP) was between 400 and 600μmol·m-2·s-1, which betrayed that grapevine cultivars had better adaptive and useful capability of strong light; Rd was less than 3μmol·m-2·s-1, which indicated that respiratory rate of grapevine cultivars was significantly little. Correlation analysis showed that the relationship between Pmax andα, LSP, Rd had the greatly significant positive correlation, and with LCP had significant positive correlation; LSP had the greatly significant positive correlation with LCP, and withα, Rd had significant positive correlation. But there were no significant correlation of physiological parameters among Vitis vinifera L. cultivars, interspecific hybridtable cultivars, grapevine cultivars and wine grapevine cultivars. 3. Water use efficiency of grapevine cultivars along with photosynthetic active radiation was parabolic potential curve. Correlation analysis showed that photosynthetic active radiation had the greatly significant positive correlation with WUE. The max of WUE of 40 grapevine cultivars were appeared at between 500 and 1600μmol·m-2·s-1; the max of WUE of 40 grapevine cultivars were 35 mmolH2O m-2·s-1, except for Ikawa 1014 and Tensyu which were 67 mmolH2O m-2·s-1.4. Chlorophyll content of 40 grapevine cultivars were between 1.335and 2.710 mg/g , and the mean value of it was 2.049±0411mg/g. Correlation analysis showed that Chlorophyll content had the positive correlation with Pmax.
