Abstract

Objective: To observe the effects of esmolol (ESM )to restrainCardiovascular response during endotracheal intubations at anesthesia induction. To confirm the practical value ofesmolol in clinical anaesthesia and explore more rational and safe methods of anesthesia. To provide a basis for promoting the use of esmolol. Methods: 60 ASA I~II adult patients of Gall bladder surgery with Laparoscopic were divided into three groups at random: group E(to inject and pump ESM in intravenous), group EF(to inject ESM and fentanyl in intravenous), group F(to inject fentanylin intravenous), 20 cases of each group (n=20) . Compared three groups SBP, DBP, HR and RPP before anesthesia induction (T0)、before endotracheal intubation(T1)and at 1(T2), 3(T3), 5(T4), 10(T5) min after endotracheal intubation .Results: In group E, the observational items showed a gradually rising trend with the exception of a transient increase inSBP after endotracheal intubation .compared to T0 , SBP at T1 T4 T5、DBP at T1 T2 T3、HR at T1 T2 T3 T4 and RPP at T1 T2 T4 were decreased (P <0. 05) . In group EF, the observational items showed a risingtrend too after endotracheal intubation. compared to T0, SBP at T3 T4 was creased (P<0. 05), SBP、RPP at T4 were higher than that of group E, HR at T2 T3 T4 was higher a little than that of group E(P <0. 05). Only SBP at T5 backed to the level before induction, the difference was no statistical significance(P>0.05). In group F, the observational items showed a rising trend after endotracheal intubation. SBP、DBP at T2 T3 T4 T5 were higher than that of group E(P<0.05) and HR、RPP at T2 T3 T4 were higher than that of group E too(P<0. 05), but DBP、RPP in group EF were lower than that of group F, SBP、HR、RPP at T5 recovered the level before induction, the difference was no statistical significance(P>0.05).Conclusions: (1) to inject and pump appropriate amount of ESM canrestrain effectively Cardiovascular response due to Stress response during endotracheal intubations at anesthesia induction, the intensity is stronger than fentanyl ; (2) Thejoint use of low-dose ESM and low-dose fentanyl can moderateto some extent Cardiovascular response at the time of endotracheal intubations.
