Abstract


[OBJECTIVE] To investigate the effect of acute alcoholism on amino acids levels in hippocampus DG of conscious rats and study the effects of dihydroergotoxine on ethanol withdrawal.[METHODS] Eighteen three-month-old rats were randomized into control group(n=6)、alcohol group(n=6) and treatment group (n=6). Alcohol group and Treatment group rats were orally exposed to 50% ethanol 0.5ml per 10minute,untill the rat to the alcoholics condition. After 30 minutes,Drug group were orally exposed to dihydroergotoxine(0.7mg/kg) and Alcohol group were orally exposed to the same dose saline. Control group were orally exposed to the same dose saline. The microdialysis technique and highperformance liquid chromatography was used to quantify Glutamate (Glu)、Aspartate (Asp)、Glutamine (Gln)、Glycine (Gly)、Taurine (Tau) and Alanine (Ala) in hippocampus DG.[RESULTS]①The glutamate、asptamate and Glycine in ethanol group were significantly increased than that in Control group (p<0.05,respectively).②The glutamate、asptamate and glycine,there was no significant differrnce between treatment and control group (p>0.05, respectively).[CONCLUSION]①Acute alcoholism is accompanied with Glu、Asp and Gly release in hippocampus DG.②Dihydroergotoxine can reduce acute alcoholism syndromes,which may be related with decreasing Glu、Asp、Gly acid levels in hippocampus DG.
